Rhythm & Vibe Retreat

🌿Retreat Guidelines of Respect & Reverence

  1. Respect for Each Other

Honor Every Voice: Speak with kindness. Listen with an open heart. Let silence be a space for growth, not discomfort. Consent and Boundaries: Always ask before touching, photographing, or entering someone’s personal space. Diversity is Sacred: We come from many paths—honor each person’s background, experience, and beliefs.

  1. Respect for the Land

Leave No Trace: Carry out what you carry in. Respect all life—plants, animals, and unseen spirits of the land. Walk Gently: Stay on marked paths when possible. Avoid disturbing natural habitats. Offer Gratitude: Take a quiet moment to thank the land each day, however your spirit is moved to.

  1. Drum Etiquette

Drums are Sacred: Treat all drums with respect. Do not play another person’s drum without their clear permission. Intentional Sound: Play with purpose and presence. Let the drum speak prayer, not ego. Silence is Sacred Too: If someone is offering a song or beat, allow space. Listen before joining in.

  1. Sacred Fire Protocol

Sacred Fire is a Living Being: Approach with reverence. The fire is not for roasting marshmallows or casual chatter—it holds prayers and transformation. No Substances: Do not bring alcohol or non-sacred substances near the fire. Offerings Only with Permission: If you'd like to place something in the fire, ask the fire keeper or ceremony leader. Keep the Space Clean and Quiet: Refrain from loud conversation or laughter in the sacred fire area unless it’s part of ceremony or circle.

  1. Shared Responsibility

We Are All Caretakers: Help when you see a need—whether it’s carrying wood, washing dishes, or holding space. Be Present: Turn off distractions. Return to yourself, your breath, and this community.
